Are the swab tests done at Travel Swab officially recognised?

Yes, Travel Swab is an MOH-approved Covid-19 test provider. 

Do I have to make an appointment for the swab test?

Yes, we advise you to book an appointment for the swab test via our website's booking link. Please check the testing window requirements of your destination country and book an appointment accordingly.

We also accept walk-ins during our operation hours but waiting time may differ depending on the number appointments made during a given period.
 

How can I change the appointment date and time?

You can change your appointment date and time via a link which you will receive in your email after you make the booking on our website. 

What documents do I need to bring along for my Covid-19 pre-departure PCR swab test?

For pre-departure Covid-19 PCR swab test, please bring your identity card, flight details (booking reference which shows your departure flight timing) and passport.

How and when will I receive my PCR test result?

This depends on which service you choose. For normal PCR service, your test results will be emailed to you within 24 hours. For the Express PCR, your test results would be sent to you within 12 hours. For the PCR Express+, your test results would be sent to you within 4-7 hours. 

What if I want a hard copy of the PCR swab test results?

You can obtain a hardcopy of the COVID-19 PCR Swab Test results at any of our clinics. No charges apply.

What if the swab test result is positive/negative?

In the event that the COVID-19 PCR Swab Test result is positive, we will not be able to issue a memo for fitness to travel. We will contact you to make arrangements for an urgent referral to NCID for subsequent care and management.

COVID-19 PCR Swab Test results may return as inconclusive. In that event, a repeat test may be conducted and is chargeable.

For Pre-Departure: Should this result affect your departure, Travel Swab and/or the appointed laboratories vendor(s) shall not be held responsible or liable for any claims, damages, losses, expenses, costs or liabilities.

Why do you need my NRIC and Passport, and local address, email/handphone number for the Covid-19 PCR Swab test?

Verification of your physical NRIC and Passport is part of our protocol. Your results memo will reflect these particulars.

Your local address and handphone number are necessary to facilitate contact tracing in the event that the test is positive.

The results memo will be emailed to you, as soon as it is ready.

Can I get a PCR swab test even if I am not travelling? Can I do a voluntary swab test?

COVID-19 PCR Swab Test can be conducted for individuals on an elective/voluntary basis for pre-event or corporate purposes. No approval letter is necessary. The costs of the test are however, not subsidised by Ministry of Health (MOH). Please take note that we do not swab for sick patients. For the safety of our customers, please reschedule your swab test appointment if you are feeling unwell. 

Are there any other charges (eg. consultation fees)?

There will be no consultation fees or additional charges for the service. We do not charge GST.

Is there any subsidy for Covid-19 PCR tests?

There are no subsidies for Covid-19 PCR tests for both travelers (leisure or business) and voluntary testing.

What should I do if I am feeling unwell? (e.g. fever, cough, cold symptoms)

Please see your nearest available doctor should you feel unwell. Kindly note that we do not accept sick patients into our centre to safeguard the health and safety of our customers. You may reschedule your swab test appointment via a link that you should receive via email after your original appointment booking was made.
